Into The Blue

The footprints I left in the dirt As I jumped the gate Hoping no one would see

The blades have grown up to my waist

I brush off the rust as I wade through the weeds

Way over there in the corner I still see the car that Vic used to drive

The handle came off in my hand as I open the door for the First time in years

The smell of the sulphur gets stronger, wakes all my senses as the light disappears

I’ll never forget how the air of chlorine used to bring out the red in my eyes

This whole town’s starting to fade just like Victors old prison tattoos

Colours they all start to dim watch as the green turns into the black turns into the blue

Make my way back through the maze the corridors wind like They never begin

Was lost but now I return to the bottomless hole We all used to swim

Ill always remember the tune, the symphony played when I nearly drowned

The water is unnervingly still I dropped to my knees to get as close as I dare

Out of the darkness I see, the face of a memory that’s not really there

The patterns I drew in the water reminds me of times when they looked in my head

This whole town’s starting to fade just like Victors old prison tattoos

Colours they all start to dim watch as the green turns into the black turns into the blue

I just jumped right in even though signs were telling me no

I’m not scared to hit the bottom, I’ve already been here before

This whole town’s starting to fade just like Victors old prison tattoos

Colours they all start to dim watch as the green turns into the black turns into the blue
